    Propane that's the question.

Sure full size vehicle with a forklift propane bottle works (they are DOT approved). The gauges for those are hit or miss, but if a dual fuel engine is a possibility, you can run it on either gas or LP gas and switch over if one is low.

    Propane that's the question.

Also no need to change jetting for elevation changes, just the initial change for it. However it can cause carb bowls to stick because there no gas to help keep it semi lubricated.

    ST2-NG Pre-build "Think Tank"

In other news, I was smart enough 4 years ago to email the plans to myself. My phone is being dumb and will not download them, so I forwarded them to my brother who will have redundant copies as well as a hard copy as well.

    Propane that's the question.

I've thought about it. Unless you get an engine that's already set up for Propane, conversion kits are a pain to find. To help alleviate some possible power loss, with propane having around on average 110 octane, so you can run a higher compression ratio.

Did some inspecting on the engine for a few minutes today. Looks like if this thing runs, I think I found a spot for a starter.

So bad news, the plan files were saved on my MicroSD card in my phone and my phone no longer can read the card. So they may no longer exist. I need to find a microSD to full SD adapter and see if I can retrieve the files on my computer. Did not really forsee this as a potential problem. Been...

    Buildoff 2022 ????

Having a house plus a full time job, I've had very little free time that and lack of motivation has been kicking me square in the nads. More pressing priorities keep cropping up. Eventually I'll have something for the build off. Just no idea when.

    Stickers/Robert

He's the owner of this site and has to pay for the server. No idea if its monthly or yearly, but the forum is still here. We have several senior members who are/were mods that haven't been on here in a hot minute. Long as the forum is still here, nothing to worry about. This is just a hobby of...

    Mini Buggy Net over?

That's what I had figured. Hopefully some other members from there will join here and talk about their builds.

What stubs were you using for the axles and did you run discs for the hubs or did you have custom hubs made to run the single disc brake?

    Nut on angle grinder stuck

This is why you don't zip that locking nut down by blippin the trigger on the grinder. It locks it down by a stupid amount. Trust me I did that a lot by mistake in trade school. But all I had to do was hold down the motor lock button and use the wrench to get it off. If you don't have the...

Is the 40 series torque converter 1:1 gear ratio at 3900 RPM?

Correct, 40 series tops out at 1:1. If your wanting overdrive, step up to a 780 with a 770 driven and that should give around a 0.68:1 overdrive, this setup is good to 20hp. If you're needing more power, step to the 94c Comet Duster, you'll only get a 0.82:1 overdrive, but it will take to about...

    ST2-NG Pre-build "Think Tank"

One thing I could do, is scrap most of the plans and do this as a front engine buggy and not worry about the wiring for the temp sensors being too short. Least then the weight could be closer to a 50/50 front rear split than like a 40/60 or 35/65 split with it being in the back behind the seat.

Realistically to make sure cable management and routing is good, I'll probably need to add on between 6 and 8 feet of wire.

    ST2-NG Pre-build "Think Tank"

Just got in from Amazon, a dual temperature thermometer. The thermo rings are just big enough to fit between the head and spark plugs. Wires are a bit short, seems to be dual 20ga wires to the connectors. Would there be any potential issues if I were to cut the wires and added the same gauge...
