Using inspiration from this thread I picked up some adjustable yokes and threaded rod. I took apart the forward and reverse handle on my kart since it isn't being used. I welded up a spring support and drilled a hole in the handle then Added the spring. I just need to attach the threaded rod...

I personally feel the only fix for the GY6 electrical system is a can of gas and match. I don't have the patience. that's not helpful I know and apologize.
