This video shows how to maintain your comet or equivalent 40 series torque converter. Preparation, dis-assembly, cleaning, polishing, lubrication, and reassembly. Both the drive and driven units with stock (red) and reverse wound (yellow) springs are addressed with instructions on how to pre wind them.

Thank you so much, I know my unit needs cleaned, it seems to be sticking a bit but I didn't want to take it off and do something wrong/get stuck.

Just thumb upped it in YouTube
