I thought about a roller bearing but getting the angle correct would involve more engineering and fabrication than the whole simple setup as is.
I thought about using some Nylon or Delrin or similar plastic but it would require a lot of shaping.
The slide isn't hard, especially with lube...

Twin 212s are cheaper than a 420, but are they better?

Interested to know how this will perform with two motors on one solid axle.
Lose the live axle and drive each rear wheel separately. Or, just cut it in the middle and use two more axle bearing hangers in the middle.
Add a brake rotor to each half.
I think the 30 series drive pulley usually has 3/4 and the driven pulley is usually 5/8 on 90% or the cheap TCs.
I think 3/4 driven pulley bore puts you in 40 series territory.
