Hello Everyone! Excited to see this build off competition, I have always wanted to become proficient at welding, and what better way than to have some fun building a hilarious project.

Goal: Drive-able Turbocharged Shopping Kart, want to retain the form factor as best as I can

Plans:
-Predator 212cc Hemi, cam, flywheel, valve springs
-Ecotrons EFI Kit, undecided on throttle body at this time
-RHB31 Turbo, intercooled
-6" Wheels, 13" OD tires

SUPER rough mockup of where i want the engine to sit, and yes, it will have a front mount intercooler :lolgoku:

Alright, finally getting to work on this thing. Mind you I and totally new to welding, and am using the $90 90amp flux core welder from HF, I know its entry level but really enjoying it! After this project ill definitely need to upgrade.

Started to work on the rear axle carriers

What's the intercooler from? Looks aftermarket so what make? Running the Ecotrons oil pump and cooler too for the turbo, or you going to run it without cooling? If you are running the oil pump and cooler, you will need a strong battery that'll hold up to keep the pump going. A lawn tractor battery maybe sufficient enough.

Couldn't tell you on the intercooler, it was an eBay purchase, 1.5" inlet and outlets. Honestly probably won't even need it but I come from the turbo car world and think a front mount intercooler would be too cool

And yes, planning either a motorcycle batter or some big lithium polymer battery packs to run the oil pump, fuel pump, and ecu.

The turbo 'kit' with be phase 2 of the project, want everything up and running reliably and driving nice before the forced induction conversation

Thing about lipos at least with RC ones is they need to be balanced charged, otherwise they could catch fire.

Looks great so far. The more build offs the merrier.

Um, one question: Where will you sit/stand/hang on for dear life?

In the basket of course! :wai:

In other news, I quickly made up a seat base, dropping this off at an interior shop to have a cushion applied and upholstered:thumbsup:

Also going to get that Shopping kart logo embroidered on :lolgoku:

Turbo size looks like a Holset H1C off a Gen 1 12 valve. Probably wouldn't even get a lb of boost out of it lol. You going to have that logo vinyl and get it on the kart/cart?

Will be an interesting attempt lol, it's a pretty tiny turbo, they claim it will work effectively down to 149cc engines, no question will I need to rev the 212 out to hopefully build a few lbs a boost :)

And so far im just going to get that logo embroidered on the seat :)
