My XJ's moving away from low budget at this point lol. Ironrock 3 link long travel up front, locked front and rear, crossover steering, a steering box brace. Buying axles off Nate, now that his yj's on tons, hp D30 and ford 8.8 with 4.88s, and chromoly shafts up front.20230412_174131.jpg

On another note, Southington did an atv event in March, bought an 84 big red day of, figured out one of the rear hubs was stripped at the park, welded it that night and sent it the next, atleast best I could with a trashed carb and very little brakes.

It had gas coming out the overflow, meaning float was off, it still floated, probably really a needle issue. Jake was working on that while I was busy rigging up some lights. I ended up shimming the needle up with a chunk of cardboard, we'll see how it lasts.

That theres some good hardware. You’ll be up in many thousands invested fore ya know it! But, if ya wanna play….
l had something north of $30k in mine! Its easy to do s**ts expensive!
I'm getting into the thousands already lol. As much as I try to keep cost down I threw over 2k worth of parts at it this winter, ordered quarter panel armor today and a trac bar kit the other day. Looks like a pos for how many paychecks go into it😂

Took the atc to my buddy's cabin this weekend. Did some trail cleanup and a good bit of riding. Chain tensioner came loose sat evening, threw that back together and sent. 20 mile trail/backroad ride sun.

Got back out at the beginning of the month, did some good crawling. Watched Owen get stuck on his front crossmember, Jimmy send a stick through his radiator and otherwise had a good time.

Here's us fixing owen's tire when he debeaded it pulling off the trailer at the beginning of the weekend.

And finally, my current project, cleaning up Jake's bumper, cut the hitch and tow hooks off, have to pull the bottom in an inch and reweld it to the frame.

Photo dump. S10 got 35s and ripped a control arm apart, I swapped axles in under 12 hrs, including setting up gears on one, ranger blew a tire apart, Jake got to see his mods at work on the cj and Jimmy broke his front driveshaft.

Has the unibody been plated yet at the steering box? doors opening on there own and wedging shut always comical with the Cherokees, but they do work along with a nice cage
Havent done stiffeners yet. It does have a box brace as seen in the prev post. Did get rid of a decent amount of noise up front. My driver door does open but that's a door pin/latch issue😂

Welcome to strokers. It's also a 97 engine in an 01, anything 2000+ is cali emissions, so it would have 2 pre cats, with an o2 before and after each. One cat per "bank" 1-3 and 4-6. Running the 97 header as that was what was on the engine so now I need to pull it and weld o2 bungs on for propper fuel mix. Since I've been running around with them unplugged.
