Valve keeper install today

"You need a spring compressor" they says...
"You need a valve installation tool to hold the valve in place" they says...



My valve valve holder, I put the split lock keepers in by hand otherwise. Old school of hard knocks don't need no sissy spring compressor for 28# or less springs.

Good for you. I'll guarantee the small engine valve compression tool that I bought on Amazon for $17.95 made the 32 lb. duals I put in a WHOLE lot easier. I also don't consider it a sissy spring compressor. I think of it more as the right tool for the job. Hope your engine runs better than your screwdriver looks.

Ok smart-a$$, that was a junk driver I torched and bent into a DIY valve tool to pin the valves seated and do the keepers without pulling the head back off (and everything else I'd had to have pulled just to pull the head)

Lash caps in place, lash set to cold zero, waiting on the ignition and a few other things before I can see what kind of power I've gotten myself into... stock keepers certainly don't get the full 22# out of the springs.
